SUPPORT AND UPGRADE

ELZALIFT

Even with proper maintenance and normal operation, elevator/escalator components progressively deteriorate over a long period of use. To ensure passenger comfort and overall safety, elevator/escalator system modernization is required. When that time comes, give Elza a call. We're certain you'll be glad you did.

Elevators have a lifespan

Elevators and other building equipment require repeated, appropriate repairs over the long life cycle of a building. However, even with continuous maintenance, it is not possible to completely prevent deterioration over time. Elevators also become obsolete after a certain number of years, so there is a need to renew deteriorated components. Since the service life of the main elevator equipment is about 20 years, we recommend that elevators that are over 20 years old are renewed.

20 to 25 years is ideal considering the economic effect of the entire building.

Buildings are said to have a lifespan of 50 to 60 years, but when calculated from an economic point of view, the lifespan is much shorter. In the case of steel-framed reinforced concrete structures, the economic lifespan is 40 to 47 years. By carrying out elevator renewal in 20 to 25 years, which is half of the economic service life, the elevator can be fully functional after renewal, and the economic effect will be improved.

After 20 years, the risk of failure increases.

Of the elevators that we have manufactured and delivered to date, for models whose production has already been discontinued, the standard supply period for maintenance parts is, in principle, 20 years after production is discontinued. If a part whose supply has been discontinued breaks down, it may not be possible to replace the part and the elevator may become unusable.

Us technologies and features

Updating the old components allows adoption of the latest technologies and features for more enhanced safety, energy-savings, efficiency, and comfort.

Note that applicability of each feature may vary depending on conditions.

Smoother ride and enhanced landing precision

A quality ride with smoother acceleration and minimal noise is delivered.

The elevator landing is precise.

Group control system

Our breakthrough AI Neural Network technology enhances transport efficiency and reduces passenger waiting time through optimum car allocation, which allows elevators to use energy effectively.

Regenerative Converter

Advanced energy-saving technology

The Regenerative Converter transmits the power regenerated by the traction machine via the distribution transformer to the electrical network for use in lights, air conditioners and other building facilities.

Note that the Regenerative Converter is not applicable to some elevators.

Light beams cover

Multiple infrared-light beams cover some height of the doors to detect passengers or objects as the doors close. Push button and signal fixtures.

The latest push button  and signal fixtures first introduced for the new-installation elevators are now available for modernization. For energy savings, select the signal with LEDs. Replacing even only signal fixtures gives a fresh impression to passengers.
